The Wellness Program is a health promotion effort, educational and preventive in nature, aimed at helping employees choose positive health practices and make positive changes in lifestyles. A variety of lifestyle awareness activities are offered through the Wellness Program districtwide or at individual worksites. Some of the activities available are workshops on cancer control, exercise, heart health, nutrition, stress management, and weight control. The overall emphasis of the program is to promote physical activity everyday, to stress the importance of eating a nutritious diet, getting preventive screenings, and making healthy choices. The Wellness Program strives to engage our valued employees in a healthy routine that will yield happiness, fullfillment, and productivity.

Personnel in the Office of Employee Support is responsible for ensuring the efficient and expeditious processing of employees' requests for services and/or accommodations covered under the ADA. This involves gathering all appropriate medical and personnel records concerning the employee's disability; convening and facilitating the work of the District Consultative Committee. This committee is charged with determining if the employee is a qualified individual with a disability and, if eligible, recommending accommodations; and facilitating the provision of services and/or accommodations to employees with disabilities, as recommended by the committee.
